SecurityTo prevent an unauthorized person’s access to data, there is a multistep security system including a specially developed user authorization mechanism, regulations on user access rights, and a secure data transmission protocol (SSL), as well as other security guarantees intended for the Citadele online banking system. The mechanism for authorization identifies a user by his name, password and identification code, which is determined by means of the Digipass authorization device or Code Card (a plastic card with a set of fixed authorization codes). In order to avoid unauthorized access to online banking, your user name and password should not be disclosed to third parties. For primary access to online banking system bank will give you a disposable password, which should be changed to permanent password. For safety reasons online banking will periodically ask to change the password, though the user can choose to do it at any time. System records all password changes and user activities. The system allows the user to trace the history of connections to identify any unauthorized access attempts (from an unknown IP address computer). Particular attention should be addressed to the connection information if you had problems with accessing Citadele online banking (such as forgetting password or Citadele online banking access blocking) and bank's operator has changed the password upon user’s request. When signing the agreement, the user can fix limited rights or specific rights. For example, the user may fill in the payment orders, but he is not allowed to sign and send them for execution, or he is not allowed to check an account balance. The SSL (Secure socket layer) provides safe data transmission between the user's PC and bank server. A small “lock” symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser indicates the presence of the SSL. Further information regarding online banking data coding method can be found by clicking on the “lock”. The level of Citadele online banking customization allows you to assign modes to a certain account. Either full or limited access may be chosen for Citadele online banking menus and options. The chosen operation mode is specified in the section “Additional terms of the agreement”. The user may
be assigned either the Full-access or View-only mode of Citadele online banking: The section Additional terms of the agreement defines the user’s rights limitations, e.g. the user may make payment orders but has no right to sign them or has no right to review the account balance. |
