get your specimen signature on the bank form notarized by a NOTARY PUBLIC, and certified with APOSTILLE (or LEGALIZED, for countries that are not members to Hague convention). Notarization has to be made in English or, should this be impossible, officially translated into English. The notarized and apostilled (or LEGALIZED, for countries that are not members to Apostille Convention) passport copy also has to be provided; |

mail the paperwork to the bank; |

pay the account opening fee (see below). |
The account opening costs consist of:
- the account opening fee (EUR 100);
- the online banking tool chosen. For fax banking and unrestricted online banking, bank Citadele a provides a Digipass signature calculator (EUR 50). For restricted online banking with LVL 5 000 or other currency equivalent one-time limit and LVL 15 000 or other currency equivalent daily limit, a Code Card (a plastic card with a set of fixed authorization codes) is offered free of charge to owners of “normal” private accounts. - debit card issuance is $50 (optional);
- courier delivery of the account package is at least $50.
