Travel insurance program

If you plan to go abroad, you do not need to purchase travel insurance because your Citadele credit card provides it free of charge.

In collaboration with BTA insurance company, travel insurance is provided for holders of MasterCard Gold, Visa Gold, Visa Platinum, MasterCard Business, Visa Business, MasterCard Business Gold and Visa Business Gold credit cards and their family members (spouse and children younger than 18 years of age if the family travels together).

Holders of the mentioned cards and their family members are insured as soon as they leave their country of residence. Insurance is effective if travel expenses are covered by both means – Citadele card and cash. The purpose of travel can be business trips, studies and leisure. Insurance covers first 90 days of each travel and the number of trips is unlimited.

Citadele’s clients enjoy coverage of expenses incurred not only due to sudden illness or personal accident but also expenses related with sudden acute condition of a chronic disease (for example, stroke, heart attack, asthma, etc.).

Brief summary and insurance sums

Starting from 01.04.2012, new insurance for MC/ VISA cards (MC Gold, MC Business, MC Business Gold, Visa Gold, Visa Business, Visa Business Gold) in collaboration with BTA insurance company
Insurance is effective if card is valid.
Insurance is valid throughout the whole world except for Client’s country of residence when Client travels by any means of transportation. You can travel by airplane, bus, ferry, your private car, etc.
